Omnibot provides a holonomic platform for  robots, manipulators and other applications. The platform is powered by an OMAP4 based Pandaboard ES. The platform has a PS3 eye camera fit with a pan-tilt servo mechanism for object tracking and motion planning in autonomous mode. It is successfully tested as a transport vehicle for other robots using the Road Racer. A scissor lift mechanism with an expanded height of 1.2 meters was built and actuated on this platform. The scissor lift helps in interaction with humans by reaching to their hand instead of the users bending down to reach the robot.
